Today is June second and its 43 degrees here in southern Oregon. Still too cold to plant beans or corn. Very unusual weather this year. I started some cucumber and tomato seeds indoors and have transplanted them into the garden, but this cool weather is keeping them from doing well. Ten day forecast is more north winds and cool temps. This year there are no seed potatoes for sale anywhere, so I have resorted to scrounging around for volunteers in last years potato patch. Am praying for warmer weather.

Our local family store Sweetwater Garden sold me some Yukon Gold seed potatoes about three weeks ago and they are sprouting very nicely. Our nighttime temperatures are like yours. I'm going to go buy some starter plants tomorrow and see what happens with cukes and tomatoes. Don't have time for too much more.
